And Now For Something Completely Different…
Up to this point, you have copied script snippets.
In the second half of the course, you will show your Mastery by transcribing film and TV scenes using your new skills, similar to the BEFORE exercise you did on Day 1, remember?
I promise, this will bring a whole new level of complexity…
To prime you, and to build some confidence, we’ll warm up with a scene that is familiar to you.
Below are two videos, at least one of which you will likely have copied earlier, one from PRECIOUS, and the other from JURASSIC PARK.
If you didn’t copy either, or you copied both, choose whichever option you believe will be the easier. If you’re unsure, I’d pick the drama (PRECIOUS).
This time the task is to recreate the scene without looking at the script, just by transcribing the images below into correct script format.
This work is the crux of what you will be doing for the next ten days. Only… without having studied the scenes before!
