Immersion Script
Find your voice by emulating the greatest. Thirty minutes a day, twenty-eight days, five produced screenplays read in full.
- Length
- 28 days
- 61 steps
- Each day
- 30 minutes
- Core practice, plus reading on some days
- You read
- 5 screenplays
- In full, start to finish
- You write
- 2 documents
- A synopsis and a report, read by Karel
Most screenwriting training teaches you to edit. This trains you to write.
Analysis is useful, but it skips the part that matters most: learning what a great script feels like on the page, and building the muscle memory to write that way yourself. That is what we train here — a self-paced bootcamp, about thirty minutes of core practice a day with longer reading on some days, and twelve months of access so you can go at your own pace.
Discovery
You read a few pages
From a produced screenplay, close and current. You work out what makes it hold, scene by scene, and note the decisions as you go.
Forgery
You copy a page by hand
Into your own script software, every space and capital. The rhythm, the format and the style get into your hands rather than your notes.
How the 28 days work
- Week 1 Prologue
- Week 2 A word about structure
- MPR The Mid Point Reversal
- Week 3 Images to Pages
- Week 4 The Pilot Synopsis
After you enrol
-
Day 1 opens straight away. Nothing is drip-fed.
-
You work about thirty minutes a day, at whatever hour suits you, with a longer reading block on some days.
-
At the midpoint you send a synopsis and a script report. Karel reads both and writes back.
-
Finish all 28 days and the report, and the certificate unlocks.
What you will walk away with
- A feature synopsis and a pilot synopsis, drafted and revised
- A script report in your own words
- A writing manifesto you set for yourself
- The muscle memory to write in format without thinking about it
- A sharper eye for what makes a scene work, and what makes it drag
What writers say
After a break from writing, this was the perfect course to recondition my screenwriting muscles. My approach to writing, reading, and watching has vastly improved in a very short time. And the course was a lot of fun.
I would not have realised I was rushing through scenes and being a lazy writer had it not been for Immersion Script. I would highly recommend it to all writers who want to elevate their craft to a professional level.
Immersion Script opened my eyes to new ways of writing and made me flex my writing muscles with rigour and practice. I found better ways to put images and dialogue to the page.
I highly recommend it to anyone serious about a career as a screenwriter. Karel is a story-analysing genius. No matter how much time you have in the industry, you will learn something and grow.

Before you start
You need a screenwriting app you are comfortable in, and about thirty minutes a day you can actually protect. The work is small and daily — that is the whole method.
