At the bare minimum, a series pilot needs to set up the characters, and the world they inhibit.

What are the defining features of the world of Yellowstone? What makes this show unique in terms of its setting?

If these elements are so appealing to the audience, why do you think no other shows had exploited them recently?

Or did they? Do you know of any examples?

In the first scene on page 31, Rip visits the trailer of a young man named JIMMY. We have never seen him, and his star power doesn’t immediately jump off the page, to say the least.

Yet, four seasons on, Jimmy has become a fixture in the Yellowstone line-up to the point that he is rumoured to get his own spin-off show.

Can you tell from Jimmy’s character description that he may become a key player?

The world of Yellowstone is predominantly masculine, and Beth is the rare exception, along with Monica. Sheridan has copped some criticism for the depiction of his female characters. What’s your take?
