Day 18 – Where Is YOUR Story?

Day 18 – Where Is YOUR Story?

Day · 1 minute

Immersion Script helps you to write scripts. It doesn’t teach how to create a story.

If you don’t already have a story, I trust sooner or later you will come up with an idea that is worthy of your scriptwriting skills.

If this course is your way of procrastinating and not writing your own work, at least your writing skills improve every day.

The result of whatever you write in the future will be superior.

But how do you come up with your stories?

Do you wait for them to come to you? Or do you dedicate time to brainstorming?

Some of my students have brainstormed daily for several years. They maintain that it has resulted in more, and better ideas. It has worked for them.

Why don’t you try it?

Perhaps you can use any spare time in this course to do just that. Any day you finish early, use your script journal to brainstorm and record story ideas.

When you’re stuck, just type some random characters in a browser bar, and see what happens. Whatever shows up may be a prompt for further brainstorming.

Now, let’s return to our regular program, and do some work!

Today’s Mastery is a world of unbridled imagination.

From the sensory overload of SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD to the magic realism of PAN’S LABYRINTH

Enjoy!
