Immersion Script

Day 19 – Keep up the energy.

Day 19 – Keep up the energy.

Day · 1 minute

We are deep into the second half of This course. In any story, and in many aspects of life, this part of the process is when people get tired, exhausted, or disinterested.

Chances are, you feel the same right now.

This is also the spot in the timeline where a true calling becomes clear. Sit through these days, complete your tasks, and prove your true grit.

We are entering the final moments of Act 2.

The powerful thing about this part of the course is that right now, you are building a lasting habit. If previously you struggled to make time for writing, you have broken through the resistance, to continue the routine.

Perhaps take a moment now to book continuing writing blocks in your calendar for the days, weeks and months ahead, like this:

  1. Create Calendar Event: WRITE
  2. Repeat: DAILY
  3. Until: INDEFINITELY.

Habits are formed by taking small steps, leveraging the power of now.

Today’s Mastery scenes are from two phenomenally successful screen productions: BLACK SWAN and CHERNOBYL. (The link with Russia in each is entirely coincidental, and only the events at the time of writing made me aware of it.)

The screenplays for each are impeccable examples of great scriptwriting. The writers had something to prove. Craig Mazin had written successful material before, but with this script he proved his worth in a different genre, format and platform.

I highly recommend you read the full-length scripts after this course. They are part of your completion bonus on Day 22.
